I get asked from time to time, Pete, why do you write Westerns? Well, partner, the answer is simple. The Old West was a uniquely American experience. The countless stories of men and women risking everything for a fresh start in a wild and unforgiven land . Has thrilled people of all ages every since Buntline's dime novels and Penny Dreadful books were first published.
Why do I write Westerns? Because the themes of heartache, betrayal, love, hate, murder and skullduggery gives the writer an unlimited source of fresh material. Why do I write Western? I guess it's because I grew up on Hop-along Cassidy, Randolph Scott, Audrey Murphy, Henry Fonda and of course John Wayne and all those Cowboy TV shows of the 50s and 60s. Why do I write Westerns? Because I always wished I had been born a cowboy!
So you say, you can't get enough of my Western Stories. Well, then I have lots of ways we can stay in contact.
